EU: Senate approves majority resolution with 109 votes in favour

Rome, March 18 (LaPresse) – The Senate chamber has approved with 109 votes in favour, 69 against and 4 abstentions, the resolution presented by the majority after Giorgia Meloni's communications ahead of the upcoming European Council. The government had only expressed a favourable opinion on the majority's resolution, opposing the texts presented by the oppositions. These resolutions, as explained by the president of Palazzo Madama, Ignazio La Russa, were considered ‘precluded or in part absorbed’.
