Meloni reiterates: ‘Italy will not participate in military force in Kiev’

Paris (France), 27 March (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended the summit on peace and security in Ukraine in Paris. During the Paris summit, the premier reiterated ‘that no national participation in a possible military force on the ground is planned’. Palazzo Chigi writes in a note. ‘The leaders discussed the importance of an effective implementation and monitoring of the ceasefire, on which a possible role of the United Nations is being raised, in line with the position of the Italian government. The Prime Minister also indicated how it is now important to be able to extend the partial ceasefire to civilian infrastructure, such as schools and hospitals, with the aim of reaching a total ceasefire,’ the note reads.
