Genoa, 31 Mar. (LaPresse) – In the centre-right ‘divisions are the order of the day. They were there before, they were perhaps better at hiding them, but it's clear that at the moment the Prime Minister is unable to express a clear foreign policy line, because faced with the constant divisions between Tajani on one side and Salvini on the other, in doubt she remains silent’. This was said by the secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, today on the sidelines of her visit to Arinox in Sestri Levante. ‘We have seen divisions even in Parliament, where they have not been able to write a reference either to the common European defence, which would be useful, or to Von der Leyen's rearmament plan, on which they have three different positions,’ adds Schlein. ‘They are also divided on the outlook, this is evident, it is increasingly difficult to hide it, so the clash seems very real to me. The problem is that in their constant clash, what takes a back seat are the problems of the Italians, starting with the big social issue. The only thing they have agreed on in recent days is to bow their heads in the face of the tariffs announced by Trump’, he concludes.
