Rome, 5 April (LaPresse) – ‘We are very loyal to the government, it will go ahead until the end of the legislature, we will always vote together. It would be foolish if we had hesitations about our belonging to the centre-right. We are the centre, without us you don't win and you don't count. Claiming our identity is by no means a hostile act towards our allies'. This was said by the deputy prime minister and secretary of Forza Italia in his conclusions to the party's national council in Rome.‘I would like Forza Italia,’ he added, ‘to be the cohesive force of all the forces that identify themselves around European popularism, woe betide if they split. If we want to go from 10 to 20 per cent we have to work hard. There is mobilisation everywhere, I will not let you breathe. We have to give the government our all. If you govern well, people understand that the results are there'.
