Rome, April 8 (LaPresse) – King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived at Palazzo Madama aboard the Royal House's Bentley. They were welcomed by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa. In front of the entrance to Palazzo Madama, an honor guard from the four Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Carabinieri) and the Guardia di Finanza was present. In the Courtyard of Honor, three flags are displayed: Italy, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. After climbing the Grand Staircase and reaching the first floor of Palazzo Madama, Their Majesties will walk through the Corridor of Busts in front of the Maccari Hall. Then – still accompanied by President La Russa, the British Ambassador to Italy Edward Llewellyn, and the Italian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Inigo Lambertini – they will pass through the Garibaldi Room, the Risorgimento Room, and the Ostrich Room, before entering the Legislative Chamber.
