Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, has convened the Supreme Defence Council at the Quirinale Palace for Thursday, 8 May 2025, at 5 p.m. The agenda includes assessments of the European Defence White Paper, national strategic infrastructure, the adaptation of military equipment, and prospects for the Italian defence industry. In addition, the Council will examine developments in the main crisis areas, with particular reference to the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East and peace initiatives at international and European level. This was announced by the Quirinale.
