Rome, 22 May (LaPresse) – ‘Is FdI asking for more regional presidents in the north? I think there is a normal debate that will, as always, find a balance within the centre-right.’ This was the response of the Minister for European Affairs, the NRRP and Cohesion Policies, Tommaso Foti, to questions from reporters outside Palazzo Chigi. "Is a specific law needed on the issue of term limits for governors? Certainly for ordinary regions,‘ added the minister, who also specified that ’the Constitutional Court has been asked whether the regions (with special status, ed.) and autonomous provinces can decide directly, or whether a national law is required.‘ ’We believe that a national law for both is the best way forward," concluded Foti.
