Milan, 24 May (LaPresse) – ‘We are considering the possibility of creating a third option between dissolution and non-dissolution’ of municipalities affected by Camorra infiltration, ‘using the prefectures that already do this, to provide assistance and support to municipalities in their efforts to uphold the law within their municipalities’. This was stated by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, speaking at the event “Il coraggio di cambiare” (The courage to change), organised by the parliamentary groups of Fratelli d'Italia in Caivano. ‘I do not believe that the dissolution of municipalities as an institution,’ stressed the head of the Interior Ministry, ‘is a factor in the infiltration of organised crime. It is probably worth considering whether it is always the most appropriate solution in light of the results after 18 months of commission management, but this is another matter, and it also depends on expectations.’
