Rome, 14 June (LaPresse) – ‘I hope and pray that we do not reach the referendum in a situation of extreme conflict. I hope for a tone that is not necessarily friendly, but one of impartial attention to the needs of politics, which has received a mandate from the voters’. These were the words of Justice Minister Carlo Nordio speaking at the Independent Judiciary conference in Milano Marittima (Ravenna). ‘The reform does not undermine the independence of the judiciary,’ he added. ‘For the love of God, let's not turn this into a clash of civilisations.’
