Rome, 1 July (LaPresse) – "With the payment of the seventh instalment, Italy will confirm its European leadership in the progress of the Plan, with over €140 billion received, corresponding to 72% of the total financial allocation and 100% of the targets set in the first seven instalments, equal to 334 milestones and targets, all achieved in full compliance with the timetable established by the Commission. This is also a qualitative achievement: we have demonstrated that we are capable of making good use of the tools provided by Europe and have become a model for other Member States." This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, commenting on the positive assessment of the payment of the seventh instalment of the NRRP, amounting to €18.3 billion, adopted by the European Commission following the successful achievement of all the objectives set. ‘We should all be proud of the great work we have done so far. This work is certainly not over and must continue with the same determination, for a country that is increasingly modern, productive and competitive, strong and inclusive, aware and ready for the global challenges of the present and the future,’ concluded the Prime Minister.
