Rome, July 5 (LaPresse) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni held phone conversations with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, and the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stressing the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza that would allow the release of remaining hostages and ensure full, unhindered access to humanitarian aid for the civilian population. According to sources from Palazzo Chigi, Meloni has stepped up dialogue with various international leaders, building on contacts initiated during the G7 summit in Kananaskis, in support of a ceasefire in Gaza. Yesterday, she also spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump.
