Rome, July 5 (LaPresse) – "Mr. President, I wish to express, on behalf of the Italian people and personally, our deep solidarity with your country for the victims and missing persons caused by the floods that struck Texas, particularly Kerr County, among whom are many children. As we hope for the greatest success for the teams engaged in the complex rescue operations, our thoughts are with the families of the victims and those awaiting news of their missing loved ones. In this time of deep mourning for the friendly American people, I wish to extend to you, Mr. President, my most sincere condolences and those of the Italian Republic."
This was written by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, following the Texas floods that claimed at least 24 lives.
