Milan, 9 July (LaPresse) – ‘We do not agree with the principle of shortening the time required to grant citizenship, and it is certainly not a priority for Italians. Game over, issue closed, the left will deal with it in thirty years if they win.’ This was the response of Deputy Prime Minister and League leader Matteo Salvini to Pier Silvio Berlusconi, who said that citizenship reform ‘is not a priority.’
