Milan, July 16 (LaPresse) – The Chamber of Deputies has unanimously approved the report of the Committee on Authorizations regarding the request for a decision on non-liability, under Article 68, first paragraph, of the Constitution, in the context of a criminal proceeding against Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who was a Member of Parliament at the time of the events.
The proceeding stems from a defamation complaint filed by Fabrizio Pignalberi following a tweet by Meloni.
The vote saw 277 in favor, with no votes against and no abstentions.
