Milan, July 23 (LaPresse) – “What the right wing has imposed by majority vote, denying any possibility of dialogue with the opposition, is not a justice reform; it is an attempt to delegitimize and subjugate the judiciary to the government in order to concentrate more and more power and weaken our democracy. This is the obsession of a right wing that believes it is above the law. It’s a pattern already seen in Orbán’s Hungary or Trump’s USA: after taking over the media and creating new crimes to suppress dissent, now they want to rewrite the Constitution undermining its fundamental balances. We will defend it,” said PD secretary Elly Schlein.
“The search for a new enemy every day by Giorgia Meloni continues, to cover up the lack of answers on low wages and the highest bills in Europe. They choose the judiciary as a target, while not investing a single extra euro to make the justice system more efficient, fairer, and faster—starting with the necessary full stabilization of workers hired through the PNRR, who risk being laid off in 2026 and again emptying the courts,” she concluded.
