Rome, July 31 (LaPresse) – "I hope Daniela Di Maggio can be helpful from the Campania Regional Council if the people of Naples, as I hope and wish, give her support and a hand." This is what Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said during the presentation in the Senate’s Nassirya Hall of three bills by the League to protect victims of crime, announcing Daniela Di Maggio’s candidacy in Campania. Daniela is the mother of Giovanbattista Cutolo. "Every time I listen to Daniela, I am amazed," he explained, referring to the mother of the young musician, murdered in Naples and present at the conference, "because someone who experiences such a tragedy would naturally tend to shut down, to live the rest of their life with anger, resentment, hatred, closing ties. Instead, in one out of X cases there is an opposite reaction: openness, building, willingness, and a smile, which is not easy, not common, I would say exceptional." At the end of the conference, the League leader gave Daniela a League pin, the Alberto da Giussano, which she reciprocated with a red horn pendant, a Neapolitan good luck charm. "I really need it, maybe I’ll even bring it to the Supreme Court," joked the Deputy Prime Minister, adding: "Neapolitans who want change have in Daniela Di Maggio an incredible example because reacting to the death of a child at the hands of criminals not by closing off, hating, and getting angry, but by opening up and making cultural and political proposals is something beautiful. So, I thank Daniela for choosing the League, but it’s an opportunity that she, through Giogiò and the League, offers to many Neapolitans to bring real life to the Region. I’m happy, and beyond the regional elections, this path will continue."
