Milan, 1 August (LaPresse) – ‘There is a need to join forces with all parties involved to organise air bridges for the voluntary repatriation of irregular migrants present on Tunisian soil and dismantle criminal networks.’ This is according to a statement released late yesterday evening by the Tunisian presidency regarding the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, at the Carthage Palace, and the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni. At the centre of the talks, the statement continued, was ‘a joint effort to further support bilateral cooperation in various sectors, particularly those related to transport, health, agriculture and energy.’
