Rome, 4 August (LaPresse) – "On Wednesday morning, the final project for the start of work on the Messina Strait Bridge will be approved here in Rome. It has been talked about since ancient Roman times and will be the longest single-span bridge in the world. There is nothing like it in China, Turkey or the United States, so you will forgive us if we are here to oversee the final regulations and the last signatures for these 48 hours which, I repeat, will mark a page in history." These were the words of Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini, speaking via video link from the MIT at the presentation of the government's measures for the development of the Marche region at the Orfeo Tamburi Auditorium in Ancona.
