Rome, August 6 (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during an interview with Tg5, addressed the tensions between the government and the judiciary regarding the Almasri case, calling the request to proceed against Ministers Nordio, Piantedosi, and Undersecretary Mantovano “surreal,” asserting they acted in accordance with the law to protect the safety of Italians.

She also criticized the fact that a request for dismissal was made in her case, emphasizing that she is fully aware of her government's actions, unlike other leaders.

Meloni further accused the judiciary of pursuing a political agenda aimed at undermining the government’s policies against illegal immigration, while highlighting a 60% drop in migrant arrivals and reaffirming her commitment to further improvements.
