Calabria deserves a future where staying is not a sentence, but a life choice." This was written on social media by M5S MEP Pasquale Tridico, thus confirming his candidacy for the presidency of the Calabria Region.
In his lengthy post, the former INPS president directly addresses the Calabrian people: "Friends of my land, dear Calabrians, dear Calabria, my story begins here, among these mountains, this sea, and among you who taught me the values of hard work, solidarity, and dreams. I was fortunate to study, travel, work, and grow even far away, but Calabria has always been my deepest root and today my greatest responsibility."
"Calabria is not a periphery: it is the beating heart of the Mediterranean. It is not a land to abandon: it is a land to revive. The future is built. And I am ready to build it with you. It is time for courage. It is time for Calabria, our land, to lift its head high where it deserves to be."
