Rome, 22 August (LaPresse) "Receiving a letter containing anarchist threats against Il Tempo and our publisher on the day when, after 31 years, Leoncavallo, a social centre in Milan and symbol of perpetual illegality at the expense of citizens, was finally cleared out, not only does not scare us, but is a sign that fighting for freedom and democracy will also make you enemies, but they are proof that you are on the right path. I will gloss over the words used against us and our families because they are the product of a culture of hatred and violence that is alien to us." So said Il Tempo editor Tommaso Cerno in a short article on the newspaper's website. In the print edition of the newspaper, an article by Giulia Sorrentino reports that a letter arrived yesterday at the newspaper's editorial office with death threats addressed to publisher Giampaolo Angelucci, vice-president Andrea Pasini, editor Tommaso Cerno and editorial director of Libero Daniele Capezzone. "“Servants of power, you will die” is just one of the threats in the letter. The signature is the classic circled “A” of the anarchists,' Sorrentino writes in the article. “I have learned of the death threats sent in a letter to the editorial office of Il Tempo and directed against our publisher, the vice president of our publishing group, Tommaso Cerno and myself. I have only this to say: we will not be intimidated by violent individuals or cowards,” Capezzone wrote on social media.
