Rome, 7 September (LaPresse) – ‘In the tormented Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the genocide of the Palestinian people continues with impunity. Today, the Israeli army even bombed a refugee tent. More deaths, more victims: the Italian government must do something because we are fed up with hypocrisy and empty words.’ This was stated by Nicola Fratoianni, speaking to reporters upon his arrival at the Avs National Festival currently underway at the Monk in Rome. ‘Enough with our government's complicity with the criminal Netanyahu. We need concrete actions, not words. We need sanctions against Israel. We need to halt cooperation between the EU and Israel. We need,’ concludes Fratoianni, ‘to immediately recognise the Palestinian state.’
