Rome, Sept. 21 (LaPresse) – “The death of Charlie Kirk has caused outrage worldwide and gives much to reflect on. You know his story: he went to universities to engage in debates with anyone who wanted to. The title of his initiatives was ‘Prove me wrong.’ Anyone, anyone could take the microphone and debate any topic with him. He responded to everyone, and he was extremely effective because he believed in his arguments, knew how to reason them, yet never stopped smiling,” said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, speaking at the closing day of 'Fenix,' the Gioventù Nazionale festival in Rome.

“Why was he so feared? The answer was given by those who celebrated his death,” the Prime Minister continued. “I saw people who printed T-shirts with Kirk’s photo, blood flowing from his neck, and the caption ‘win this debate.’ He was feared because he was skilled at showing how unreasonable some ideas imposed on us by force were; he was dangerous because he dismantled the mainstream narrative with logic, giving voice to the majority who thought like him and had ended up feeling wrong. He had to be stopped because he was free, courageous, and capable, and people like that scare those who think they can impose their beliefs by force.”
