The recognition of a state is a formal act, which in this case also has a high symbolic as well as political value. Either you do it or you don't. Why can't Italy join the more than 150 other countries that have already recognised the State of Palestine? The hypocrisy of our government, which continues to side with Netanyahu, is truly obscene. The truth is that if Italy does not hurry, the conditions for recognition will no longer exist, simply because there will no longer be a Palestinian population."
