Milan, Sept. 24 (LaPresse) – The President of the Puglia Region, Michele Emiliano, signed today the decrees calling for direct elections for the President of the Regional Council and the Regional Assembly. The campaigns — according to the Region’s website — are scheduled for Sunday, November 23 and Monday, November 24, 2025; voting will take place on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on Monday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. As soon as voting and voter verification operations are completed, the counting will begin without interruption. In the electoral districts, based on resident numbers from the 2021 census (total 3,922,941), 23 seats are allocated as follows: 7 in Bari, 2 in BAT, 2 in Brindisi, 4 in Foggia, 5 in Lecce, and 3 in Taranto. The remaining seats will be assigned by means of a so‑called “majority bonus” until the assembly of 50 councilors is filled. The lists to be presented must comply with gender parity criteria. The ballot will be green.
