Rome, 24 September (LaPresse) – In the CIPESS decision giving the green light to the final design for the Strait Bridge, ‘the obligation to provide justification has not been fully met, as there is no detailed assessment of the preliminary findings to support the decisions taken by CIPESS, even in relation to crucial stages of the procedure’. This was written by the Office for the Control of Acts of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Court of Auditors in its report – viewed by LaPresse – sent to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Central Secretariat Service of the Dipe. According to the accounting judges, the resolution ‘appears more like a review of the activities carried out by the various institutional actors in the proceedings than a weighing of the results of those activities, from both a factual and legal point of view. Hence the need to obtain clarifications and information in relation to the aspects indicated below’. Palazzo Chigi is assigned a period of “no more than 20 days”, after which “the Section may decide on the status of the proceedings”.
