Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt), 13 October (LaPresse) – According to reports, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony for the Middle East Peace Plan, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended a meeting with, among others, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Canadian Prime Minister Michael Carney, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the next steps in stabilising and rebuilding the Gaza Strip, starting with the immediate need to rapidly increase humanitarian access in order to respond to the enormous needs of civil society.
