Rome, 16 October (LaPresse) – "The secretary general of the CGIL trade union, Maurizio Landini, clearly clouded by mounting resentment (which I understand), called me a “courtesan” on television. I think everyone knows the most common meaning attributed to this word, but, for the benefit of those who do not know, I am publishing the first definition found by doing a quick search on the Internet.‘ Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni wrote this on social media, referring to the CGIL secretary's statement on television calling her ’a courtesan of Trump." The FdI leader published the definition of “woman of easy virtue; courtesan; euphemism: prostitute” and added: “And here's another splendid example from the left: the same people who for decades lectured us on respect for women, but who then, when they run out of arguments, resort to calling a woman a prostitute in order to criticise her”.
