Rome, Oct 16 (LaPresse) – "I want to emphasize that I have always had trust in the institutions. The reaction is to continue working with even greater strength and enthusiasm. I am very motivated, and I feel the support and trust of my citizens." This is what the President of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, said in an interview with 'Repubblica'. Currently, she is still the only 5-Star Movement regional president: how is the progressive field working in Sardinia? "There is a lot of confrontation, sometimes even harsh: we are very different political forces on some issues. But we have set priorities; there were crucial steps to take on healthcare and renewable energy: we overcame them with cohesion and unity," she replied. Regarding Chiara Appendino, who hinted at resigning as M5S vice president, she added, "She is a friend, but I do not share her line. Being clear about alliances is fundamental: you cannot govern or make an impact alone. Also, in Piedmont, we got 7 percent going alone, and in Sardinia 8 percent in alliance. This tells us that if there is a credible project, things really work."
