This is the challenge we want to overcome, with the clarity of never pursuing an oppositional, ideological, politicised discourse, as many unfortunately want to point the finger at us in order to defeat us, not with our arguments, but with completely inappropriate weapons.’ These were the words of ANM President Cesare Parodi, speaking about career separation at the Association's General Assembly in Rome. ‘We defend our values, we are not against anyone, but we are in favour of the values of the Constitution and we are fighting this battle in the interest of everyone,’ he added, ‘because our lives and our salaries will not change with this reform, but the lives of citizens will change.’
