Rome, 30 October (LaPresse) – When asked if there will be changes to the budget, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, interviewed by Tg1, replied: ‘I don't think there will be any changes to the banks' contribution, and I continue to say that, in my opinion, it is a good sign that resources are being allocated to workers, to companies that hire, to families, to the birth rate, to healthcare, and that banks and insurance companies are being asked to contribute.’ ‘On short-term rentals,’ she added, "in my opinion, Parliament must decide whether or not to confirm the rule. I just want to say that the rationale behind the measure is not to make money from rents, but to encourage rents for families, because if the same tax applies to those who rent to tourists and those who rent to families, there will be a tendency to rent to tourists and rents for families will increase. So our goal is to lower rents for families."
