(LaPresse) – "The news of the last few hours seems to me to be much more important than these discussions: the draft peace plan, the draft 28-point agreement on which Zelensky himself says today “I will discuss it with Trump”. It seems to me like a return to the days of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, with Trump's first draft being ridiculed and boycotted." This was how Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, a guest on Radio 24's 24Mattino programme, responded to those asking whether the League will vote in Parliament on the next aid package for Ukraine. Is the draft agreement penalising? “Let Ukraine decide. Whether it's a Latvian lady protesting or some European minister who feels sidelined… If Zelensky says 'let's talk about it”, if the Russians say “let's talk about it”, if the Americans are working on it,' replied the League leader, 'I don't think it's up to Brussels, Paris or Berlin to boycott and stop it. I hope that there will be no need to talk about new weapons because the conflict will have ended for the sake of the young people who are dying on the front line today. Meanwhile, a scandal has emerged involving $100 million in alleged corruption, two ministers dismissed, gold-plated bathrooms, villas and foreign bank accounts belonging to men very close to Zelensky.
