The president of the Palestinian National Authority is the only possible interlocutor for continuing the peace process, for the construction of a Palestinian state and for mutual recognition with Israel. Hamas can never be the interlocutor for this process. Abu Mazen's presence also disintegrates two years of vulgar propaganda by the left against the Italian government." This was stated in an interview with Il Giornale by Arianna Meloni, head of the Fdi political secretariat.
