Milan, 19 Dec. (LaPresse) – Giancarlo Giorgetti "has been completely contradicted by his own party. We demand that the Minister of Economy come to Parliament immediately. We hope he comes urgently, because if he is no longer able to serve as Minister of Economy, he should resign. If he is still able, he should come to Parliament and tell us how to move forward, because the committee is seriously behind schedule and under these conditions it will be very difficult to be here in the Chamber on Monday morning to begin the general discussion." This was stated by the president of the PD senators, Francesco Boccia, speaking in the Chamber. “The budget law,” he emphasised, “is not only not ready, but is still in the Budget Committee with a huge delay. We are proceeding with arguments and improvisation, confusion reigns in the country, and this confusion carried over into the committee last night with very strong opposition within the majority and within the League”.
