Rome, 2 January (LaPresse) – Regarding the words of Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, according to whom the ANM “is afraid of confrontation” on the referendum, “I really cannot comprehend it and I cannot even understand the meaning of the controversy”. This was the response of constitutionalist Enrico Grosso, president of the No Committee, when contacted by LaPresse. “First, there is controversy with the ANM because it intends to set up a committee and would therefore 'politicise” the antagonism with the government,' continued Grosso, 'then, after the ANM promotes the committee and obviously the committee includes individuals who are not magistrates, the minister insists on dealing only with the ANM. It seems to me, rather than a contradiction, a difficulty in agreeing with oneself. After that, I am always available to talk to the minister and anyone else, precisely because we are a committee and it seems normal to me that it is not the ANM but the committee that should talk to the minister about issues relating to the referendum. I really cannot understand the meaning of this controversy and find it somewhat childish. If the minister wants to talk, the committee is always available'.
