Muscat (Oman), 14 Jan. (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived at Muscat International Airport for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the first stop of her mission in Asia. At the airport, the Prime Minister and the Italian delegation were received by the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense, H.H. Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, and the Italian Ambassador to Muscat, Pierluigi D’Elia. The bilateral meeting will take place at the Royal Residence Al Barakah Palace at 6:30 p.m. local time (3:30 p.m. in Italy) with the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Haitham bin Tarik. The talks will focus on bilateral cooperation and strategic relations. At the end of the summit, the Sultan will host an official dinner in honor of the Prime Minister. After the visit to Oman, the Italian delegation will continue to Tokyo, Japan, where further official engagements are scheduled.
