Rome, Jan. 22 (LaPresse) – “The proposal by the chair of the Senate Justice Committee, Giulia Bongiorno, on sexual violence disavows the bipartisan agreement reached in the Chamber. Sexual violence is a crime against women; without a yes there is no sexual relationship, but a crime. Bongiorno is making us take an enormous step backward. We move from consent to dissent. The vetoes of the right have prevailed.” This is stated by the parliamentary group leader of the Green and Left Alliance, Peppe De Cristofaro, president of the Mixed Group at Palazzo Madama.
