Milan, 3 January (LaPresse) – ‘Angry? No. Disappointed and bitter.’ Matteo Salvini wrote this on his social media, commenting on the departure of MEP and deputy secretary of the League Roberto Vannacci. "The League welcomed Vannacci into its big family when he had everyone against him and was left alone: major newspapers, opinion makers, politicians, the left and the right-thinking. We opened the doors of all our offices and Pontida to him and his closest collaborators. We offered him the opportunity to stand as a candidate with us in every constituency in the European elections. Like many other League members, I voted for him and encouraged others to do so. We proposed him as vice-secretary of the Patriots in Europe group and appointed him deputy secretary of our party."
