Milan, Mar. 1 (LaPresse) – “I am returning to Italy while continuing to manage the delicate situation since yesterday using all the necessary technical tools to do so even from abroad. As is obvious, I will return alone, to avoid exposing others who travel with me under the current conditions to further risks. I will do so, of course, on a military aircraft and will leave my family here (which they understand), after making sure that for them, as for other Italian and foreign citizens, there are no significant risks except those of unfortunate chance.” This is what Guido Crosetto wrote on X (social media platform). “I continue working, for them and for others, to find a fast and safe solution in full support of the Crisis Unit of the Italian Foreign Ministry,” Crosetto said. “I will return using a military flight but only after having paid (an hour ago) to the Command of the 31st Wing Command – Ciampino an amount three times higher (by my choice) than the tariff provided for guests on state flights, so as to remove even the possibility of attacks claiming that I returned using a state flight.” “I find this way of polemicising shameful and low,” he added, “and I would like to reassure everyone that I do not take lessons from anyone on a sense of state and institutions, and even less on the level of commitment and dedication to the institution. On the quality, others will judge.”
