Rome, March 2 (LaPresse) – “Currently, the government is obviously committed to providing assistance to the thousands of Italians who are stranded, particularly in the Gulf countries. We are in contact with those countries and with our European partners. The objective is clearly to ensure that the crisis does not spread, but I believe that nothing can improve unless Iran stops its attacks against Gulf countries, which are totally unjustified.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in an interview broadcast tonight on Canale 5 – TG5. “How worried am I about the war, which has reached Europe with drones that have reached Cyprus? I am worried. I am worried about the general context, a crisis of international law that is inevitably a consequence of the war in Ukraine. When a member of the United Nations Security Council deliberately attacked a neighbour, it was inevitable that it would lead to a period of chaos,” the premier added.
