F1, Horner: "No link between Newey's departure and Red Bull's performance dip"

Rome, Jan. 14 (LaPresse) – "Seeing Adrian Newey leave was sad, as he was instrumental to the team during his time with us. But it was purely coincidental that the weekend he announced his departure was the same one where we began to experience a performance dip."

These were the words of Red Bull team principal Christian Horner to PlanetF1, dismissing any connection between the departure of Adrian Newey—one of the most celebrated designers in Formula 1 history (who left Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2024 season to join Aston Martin)—and Red Bull's recent decline in performance.
