Rome, Jan. 15 (LaPresse) – Presidio Investors, a private equity firm based in Austin, Texas, and Maurizio Setti are pleased to announce that Presidio has acquired 100% ownership of Hellas Verona Football Club. Presidio will focus on building a new path, starting from the foundation that Maurizio Setti has created during his 13-year tenure managing the club. The club will be led by a highly qualified Board of Directors, with Italo Zanzi serving as Executive Chairman. Zanzi has previously held the positions of CEO of AS Roma, Managing Director of FOX Sports Asia, and Vice President of Major League Baseball. Maurizio Setti will remain involved with the club in a new role as Senior Advisor of Football Operations, supporting the activities of the sporting staff and Sporting Director Sean Sogliano. Simona Gioè will maintain a leadership role and will be joined by Gennaro Leo and Sean Foley, established managers in the international sports scene.
"We are excited to announce the acquisition of Hellas Verona. We have worked hard in recent months to achieve this goal, and we look forward to taking our first steps in this historic city, leading a club that is an integral part of Verona and its people. We would like to thank President Setti for his valuable work and for facilitating this transition. We are confident that his dedication, along with that of Sean Sogliano and Simona Gioè, will play an important role in the future successes of the club," said Christian Puscasiu, Managing Partner of Presidio Investors.
