Milan, Jan. 15 (LaPresse) – Inter settles for a 2-2 home draw against Bologna in the rescheduled 19th round of Serie A. The result allows the Nerazzurri to move within three points of league leaders Napoli, with a game in hand – the one against Fiorentina – still to be played. A valuable point for Bologna, coached by Italiano, which climbs to eighth place with 30 points and a match yet to play.

The first half was electrifying, with Bologna taking an early lead in the 15th minute thanks to Santiago Castro, who deflected a shot from Moro past Sommer. However, the Rossoblù’s advantage lasted only three minutes, as Inter equalized through Dumfries, who capitalized on a rebound from a Thuram shot saved by the goalkeeper. The goal was validated after a VAR check for a contact earlier in the play between Bastoni and Odgaard, with Pairetto confirming the score.

Inter pressed Bologna relentlessly and came close to taking the lead with chances from Lautaro, Dimarco, and Dumfries. Bologna, on the other hand, threatened through Odgaard, but Sommer made a brilliant save. In stoppage time of the first half, Inter went ahead 2-1 with a powerful strike from their captain Lautaro Martínez, assisted by a perfect cross from Dimarco on the left.

Early in the second half, Lautaro nearly scored a second, but in the 63rd minute, Bologna equalized with a low strike from Holm, deflected by Bastoni, after an assist from Orsolini. Riding the momentum, Bologna created another opportunity with Orsolini, but Sommer saved with his foot.

In the final stages, Inter pushed forward in search of a winner, coming close on at least two occasions through substitute Taremi. Bologna defended bravely and ultimately secured a well-deserved point.
