AC Milan, Walker: ‘I wanted new emotions, this is the right club’

Torino, Jan 27 (LaPresse) – ‘I wanted to experience new emotions, it was the right time and the right club to do it. Ibrahimovic was impeccable on the phone, we have strong players and managers, I want to prove I can make a difference in Italy and not only in England. When I spoke to Guardiola it wasn't easy, we have a great mutual respect. We won a lot, everything together. Manchester City was my family, I think they all appreciated me for how I behaved. But now I only think of Milan, I want to learn Italian and win abroad too’. So said new AC Milan signing Kyle Walker during the presentation press conference. ‘Being at AC Milan is something fantastic, I took this great opportunity and it is an ambitious choice to continue my career. I bring my experience and leadership, I want to contribute in turning things around. The season says that there have been ups and downs: we need more continuity, we need discipline and hunger, we need to play with passion, we need to put pressure on ourselves to win games,’ continued the English player. ’The club has conveyed its ambition to me, they have presented me with an important project. We won the Italian Super Cup and that is a good sign, we are doing very well in the Champions League, in the league instead we have to improve. With my age, with my experience I can drag the younger ones along. There are also other leaders. We need constancy, the coach has changed, Conceiçao has good ideas on which to build the team: he welcomed me with open arms'.
