Milan, Feb 5 (LaPresse) – The first Chinese driver in Formula 1 will return to Ferrari as one of its reserve drivers for the 2025 season. Zhou Guanyu does not have a main seat for 2025 after leaving Sauber at the end of last year, but he could step in for Ferrari if Charles Leclerc or Lewis Hamilton are unable to race. Zhou first competed in F1 in 2021 for what was then the Alfa Romeo team before it reverted to the Sauber name. The Chinese driver originally came through the Ferrari academy early in his career. Zhou will be one of two reserve drivers for Ferrari alongside another former Sauber driver, Antonio Giovinazzi.
