Turin, Feb 8 (LaPresse) – Mattia Bellucci's journey in the ATP tournament in Rotterdam has come to an end. The 2001-born Italian, after his impressive victories against two Slam finalists at their peak, Medvedev and Tsitsipas, in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, could do nothing against Alex De Minaur and was stopped in the semifinals. The Australian dominated, winning 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour of play. The world No. 8 now awaits the winner of the match between Hurkacz and Alcaraz in the final.

Despite the defeat, Mattia Bellucci leaves Rotterdam after a very positive week: his first semifinal in an ATP 500 tournament and a new career-high ranking as world No. 68.
