Rome, 11 Feb (LaPresse) – The USA won gold in the first historic women's combined at the World Ski Championships in Saalbach. The US pair of Breezy Johnson, winner of the downhill title, and Lauren Macuga beat the Swiss pair of Lara Gut-Behrami and Wendy Holdener, who were 39 hundredths behind the Americans. Bronze for Austria (Stephanie Venier and Katharina Truppe). Eighth place for Italy 3 of Nadia Delago and Marta Rossetti.
