Los Angeles (California, USA), 12th Feb. (LaPresse/AP) – The Los Angeles Lakers have signed centre Alex Len to strengthen their frontcourt depth after their failed attempt to acquire Charlotte centre Mark Williams. To make room on the roster for the 31-year-old Ukrainian, in his 12th NBA season, Los Angeles waived injured Christian Wood on Tuesday. Len was rumoured to be signing with the Indiana Pacers but the Lakers stepped up to add a much-needed backup centre. Los Angeles traded Anthony Davis to Dallas earlier this month.
