Milan, 16 Feb. (LaPresse) – An excellent Como team won 2-0 away at Fiorentina, in the early game of the 25th round of Serie A. Goals from Diao in the 41st minute and Nico Paz in the 66th. After three defeats in a row, Fabregas' Como are back on track, taking home three very important points for survival. The Lariani now have 25 points and are 5 points above the relegation zone. Second defeat in a row, however, for Palladino's Fiorentina after the one at the Meazza against Inter. The Viola remain in sixth place behind Juventus with 43 points and with Milan and Bologna starting to get closer. Without Kean, Fiorentina had two great chances with Zaniolo and Gosens, and then another chance with Zaniolo after fifteen minutes. As the minutes went by, however, the Viola team lost ground while Como went the distance with their dribbling. Fabregas' team proved superior in midfield, with constant through balls to immediately look for the forwards vertically. And it was precisely on one of these sudden vertical passes that the Lariani took the lead in the 41st minute with Diao, who was good at taking advantage of Caqueret's pass to outflank Cataldi and Mandragora before beating De Gea to the ball. The fourth goal in six games for the young Senegalese striker who arrived from Betis in January. In the second half the story was the same, with the Viola trying to attack but without much conviction and Como striking on the counterattack. After another chance for Dia, in the 66th minute the visitors doubled their lead with a left-footed shot at the corner of the goal by the talented Nico Paz. Fiorentina were beaten, and in the final moments Como almost scored a third with the usual Diao, but a free kick would have been too much.
