Milan, 16 Feb (LaPresse) – Switzerland is still celebrating at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Sallabach. The Swiss team ended in beauty with the gold medal of Loic Meillard in the men's slalom, the race that traditionally closes the kermesse. With a total time of 1'54"02, Meillard (second after the first run) precedes the Norwegian Atle Lie McGrath silver at +0.26 hundredths. Third and bronze medallist was German Linus Strasser at +0.52. Out in the second run was Frenchman Clement Noel, who dominated the first downhill. For Italy, only Stefano Gross crossed the finish line twentieth at 2"73. Out in the second run, instead, Alex Vinatzer and Tobias Kastlunger.
